FAQ on warning markings and warning marking kits
What types of vehicles do you offer warning markings for?
We offer warning markings and warning marking kits for many emergency and service vehicles, vans, special-purpose vehicles, and other vehicle types. Depending on the vehicle and its intended use, different versions may be suitable, for example in accordance with DIN 14502-3 or DIN 30710.
What is a warning marking kit?
A warning marking kit is a preconfigured set of film elements designed to make a vehicle stand out. In many cases, the kits are prepared for a specific vehicle so that they fit its contours, doors, swage lines, and components as accurately as possible.
Why do you need such detailed vehicle information?
Warning markings are often not universal but depend on the specific vehicle. Even small differences can be important, for example:
- rear doors or a tailgate
- fully glazed, partially glazed, or panel van
- wheelbase
- number and position of sliding doors
- model year or model series
This information helps us identify the correct kit and avoid unnecessary follow-up questions.
What vehicle information should you send us straight away?
Please send us as much of the following information as possible:
- manufacturer
- model
- model year or date of first registration
- vehicle version
- rear doors or tailgate
- glazing
- wheelbase or length/height version
- number and side of sliding doors
- required marking: front, rear, sides, or complete kit
The more complete the information, the faster we can check which option is suitable.
Is the vehicle registration certificate sufficient?
Not always. Some features that are important for identifying the correct kit are often not clearly shown in the document. Photos are usually much more helpful, particularly for doors, glazing, rear configuration, or model variants.
Which photos are useful?
Ideally, please send us:
- a straight-on photo of the rear
- both side views
- a front view
- if possible, detailed photos of the doors, rear, sliding doors, and glazing
This allows us to identify the vehicle configuration more quickly and reliably.
Please ensure that the photos do not show people or any other personal data that is not required for the enquiry.
Are universal warning markings available?
More universal solutions are available for some applications. In many cases, however, vehicle-specific kits are more suitable because they fit the shape of the vehicle better and can be installed more cleanly.
What is the difference between DIN 14502-3 and DIN 30710?
This depends on the vehicle type and its area of use. In simplified terms:
- DIN 14502-3 is particularly relevant to fire service vehicles and certain vehicles used by German public safety authorities and organisations (BOS)
- DIN 30710 typically concerns red-and-white warning markings for certain special-purpose vehicles, vans, municipal vehicles, and similar applications
We use the information you provide to determine which version is suitable for your vehicle.
Can I order based only on the vehicle model?
Often yes, but not always. Vans and emergency or service vehicles in particular are available in different variants within the same model range. Additional information such as doors, glazing, wheelbase, and model year is therefore important.
Do you also offer individual replacement parts instead of complete kits?
This is generally possible for some products, but it depends on the specific kit and the parts required. Please send us the item number, details of the vehicle concerned, and ideally a photo of the damaged area.
Can I install the warning markings myself?
Many warning marking kits are prepared in a way that allows them to be installed neatly by the customer. A suitable surface and proper application are always important. For more complex vehicle shapes or if the correct version is uncertain, we recommend having the configuration checked carefully in advance.
Which colours are available?
Different colour combinations may be appropriate depending on the application and standard, for example red/white or red/yellow. The suitable version depends on the vehicle type, intended use, and required configuration.
How can you receive a suitable response from us as quickly as possible?
Ideally, please send us:
- the complete vehicle information
- 3 to 5 informative photos
- the required type of marking
- if available, the item number or a link to a product in our shop
This allows us to review your enquiry more quickly and provide a more targeted response.
