Warning markings: compliant with standards and legal requirements

Section 35 of the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) precisely regulates the special rights of vehicles equipped with the correct warning markings. For example, they are permitted to park in areas where private cars are strictly prohibited from stopping and must therefore be clearly visible, even from a distance.

DIN 30710 specifies the exact requirements for warning markings. It also specifies where and how they must be affixed to an emergency vehicle in order to comply with legal requirements. Warning marking sets in design30710 therefore already refer to this standard by name, so that you know immediately what they are. Warning markings in accordance with DIN 30710:

  • Consist of a special, highly durable, retro-reflective film
  • Colours: white/red – signal colours
  • As standard surfaces pointing left and right
    • 4 standard surfaces each on the left and right front and left and right rear of the vehicle
    • One standard surface corresponds to 141 × 141 mm
    • Roll widths either 141 mm or 282 mm
