Which vehicles use magnetic signs for cars and on what occasions?
Vehicles that are granted special rights are subject to specific marking requirements. Warning markings for fire engines and similar vehicles, for example, must comply with DIN 30710, which stipulates red and white warning markings on the left and right sides of the vehicle with reflective properties.
For classic and permanent marking of the relevant cars, vans or large vehicles, we sell our warning marking sets as films that are precisely tailored to the manufacturer and vehicle model. The magnetic car signs, on the other hand, can be used variably and, above all, universally, and can be attached to any vehicle for a certain period of time.
The mandatory warning markings, also known as standard changes, consist of four colour changes, red and white, with a size of 141 × 141 mm. Four left-pointing and four right-pointing standard changes are required. A total of at least eight such standard changes are therefore required for an emergency vehicle. This number must at least be available, more areas may be added.
Our magnetic warning markings
The magnetic signs with these markings are designed as follows. They are available from us in sets of two (left and right). The carrier material is a strong adhesive magnetic sign for your car. It features our tried-and-tested, durable Oralite VC 30710 warning marking films. The high-performance magnetic film is designed for repeated attachment to vehicles.

- 705 × 141 mm
The 0.85 mm thick film is designed to comply with all DIN specifications and §35 (6) StVO (German Road Traffic Regulations), meaning that you can claim special rights with your vehicles marked in this way.
Our magnetic information signs
In terms of material and material thickness, the magnetic information signs are identical. The formats differ, as some feature lettering and others feature warning triangles with lettering. The information signs are available in white with red lettering and as red warning signs with black lettering and a white background.
The text and traffic signs are made of retroreflective film from 3M's 580E series. The triangles differ thematically, which also means that their intended use and thus the vehicle for which they are used also differs.
Lettering on warning triangles (selection):
- ‘Test drive’, for example, suitable for command vehicles (ELW)
- ‘Sewer cleaning’
- ‘Convoy’
- Alternatively, customised text is also possible.
The standard formats for triangles are: 565 × 650 mm and 680 × 760 mm. Magnetic signs used as information signs, on the other hand, measure 300 × 50 mm, 580 × 150 mm, 1180 × 150 mm and 1400 × 150 mm. These information signs are retro-reflective red in accordance with ECE104R with retro-reflective class E and are ideal for day and night driving. Thanks to secure fastening and rounded corners for minimal contact surface, the signs have a particularly long service life.
