DIN 30710 truck warning marking sets – frequently asked questions

Thanks to the correct markings, you are on the safe side in everyday life. Officials and other road users can immediately recognise your special vehicles. With our warning markings for lorries, you purchase ready-cut sets that fit your vehicle model exactly. This not only saves you a lot of time, but also stress, as even laymen without prior knowledge can apply them in a short time.

What should the warning markings for lorries look like?

Local authorities maintain a whole range of vehicles that must be marked as special vehicles with the typical red and white warning markings. Road vehicles, refuse collection vehicles, motorway vehicles, but also winter service vehicles and other municipal or official vehicles are subject to the regulations of DIN 30710.

The warning markings must be precisely positioned so that they are clearly visible and functional, on the one hand, and remain in place for as long as possible without slipping, tearing off or similar, on the other. A perfect fit is essential here. What exactly characterises a proper warning marking?

This refers to a specific area that must feature a so-called standard change in white and red on each side. Strictly speaking, there are four standard changes, each pointing left and right on the vehicle. A standard change refers to an area measuring 141 × 141 mm. Four of these changes per side are the minimum requirement; beyond that, the design is relatively unrestricted. Some operators opt for large-scale markings, possibly including lettering for the lorries in their vehicle fleet.

The truck warning markings are in design 30710 red/white, microprismatic and intended as Oralite 5921M products for fixed structures. They comply exactly with the specifications of DIN 30710 and have been designed in accordance with RA 2.

What are the advantages of our warning markings for lorries?

We supply standard surfaces as prefabricated, i.e. cut-out, sets. These warning marking sets are tailored precisely to the respective vehicle. The sets for various vehicles contain different numbers of parts: approximately a dozen.

These individual parts are not only precisely cut to shape and size, but are also slightly curved to match the vehicle body, making them particularly easy to apply and ensuring a secure and durable fit. We also sell warning markings on rolls, but cutting them to size yourself is much more complicated, demanding and time-consuming. Above all, however, the risk of errors speaks against this.

Therefore, choose our warning marking kits for lorries! Each warning marking kit comes with detailed installation instructions. For even better illustration before your first successful installation, please watch one of our installation videos.

You can equip your entire vehicle fleet with us for the first time or retrofit it! Many of our customers take advantage of this opportunity and stock up on several sets of warning markings. Special vehicles, which you and your colleagues use a lot on the road, can always be exposed to situations in which parts of the warning markings are damaged. Thanks to the division of the sets into several individual parts, you never have to replace the entire surface, but only the affected section.

In addition to your stock, you can order specific parts of your lorry's warning markings separately from us! This saves time and money, and you can quickly replace your warning marking set after an unexpected renewal.
